Activated Akismet Spam Control

Loading ...I just activated Akismet spam control in my wordpress. Supposedly it automatically blocks all, or most spam comments. I really wish Cutenews could have implemented something like this, but it’s too late now Cutenews because I have already switched over to Wordpress and I am loving it. I’ll be watching over the next few weeks to see how well Akismet works. I hope it does well. I hate spam!

The thing that works best on SPAM is SpamKarma2. It has a plug-in for wordpress. I have used it for about 2 1/2 years and it has caught over 80,000 (!) spam comments. And only two or three times has it eaten something that is not spam…but I was able to recover them.

I’ll keep that in mind Tony. I saw it at the bottom of your blog and started to install it here, but then when I set up Wordpress I noticed it had the Akismet thing installed already and so I used that since it was already there. If it doesn’t keep up with the spam the way I think it should then I’ll try the SpamKarma2. By the way thanks for dropping by my site Tony
