Today as I was listening to some remixes I downloaded awhile back (looking for some new tunes to add to my Sansa Fuze), I found this song by the A-Teens called I Promised Myself. It sounded familiar to me but I couldn’t recall when I had heard it before. So I went to the best place I know to find information on things like this besides of course Wikipedia. I found the A-Teens version of the song, but I also found out who did the song before them. There was Nick Kamen’s Version in the 90’s, and Dead Or Alive’s version in the 80’s. I am thinking that I probably most remember the song from the 90’s when Nick Kamen did it because it was around that time that I was really into pop music… well I had always been into pop music for as long as I could remember… but anyway…. I don’t really like the Dead Or Alive version but I’m including all three videos in this post. I kinda like Nick Kamen’s version but I think I like the A-Teens the most out of all three versions. I did find a remix of Nick Kamen’s version on You-Tube as well but I’m not going to put it here. You can look it up for yourself if you want to hear it.

Did they think their credit card application was so precious or fragile that they needed to pack it with bubble wrap? Did they think this would prompt me to actually open it up, fill it out and send it back…… um, no……. I do not do credit cards no matter how carefully they pack their stupid applications. I wish there was a way to stop this shit from coming to my mailbox. I’m gonna start using those return envelopes to send them back an invitation to my site and maybe they will see this post and stop sending me this mess….. or better yet I’m gonna make a homeless person note and start begging them to send me money to buy food with……… anyone think they would send me some money? Knowing my luck they would just double up on the amount of these things they send me.

I have been trying to find this song online forever. Finally thanks to 4gottenTraxxx on You-Tube I have found it. I was hoping for the actual video but I guess this was the best he could do.

This guy sent me an instant message around 2 A.M. this morning just as I was getting ready to go to bed. I changed his name to protect his identity. For this post I named him “dumb elliot”. If you happen to read this before I get a chance to get back here and write out interpretations then check back at a later time in a day or two to know what it was all about. I had been talking to my buddy John on my cellphone, who currently lives in San Francisco, CA and he was eating Domino’s pizza. After we finished talking I suddenly had a pizza craving. I wanted pizza really bad. So I went and bought a $5.00 pizza from Little C’s and while I was out getting the pizza and since I was uptown I decided to go to wally world to just shop around. I sat in the parking lot with my pizza and mountain dew and once I ate all the pizza I cared for I went inside the store. I ended up buying a pair of plaid shorts and a t-shirt I can wear this summer. This is a new timer photo of me in the parking lot eating my pizza that I shot with my digital camera to go under my self photography category.

This strange looking contraption is the Joby Gorillapod. It is a camera tripod which supposedly lets you mount your camera almost anywhere. I could really see this coming in handy. I want one.

As a gay guy this picture doesn’t particularly appeal to me, but as a web designer familiar with HTML I thought this was kinda funny.

As a webpage designer I have spent years looking for beautiful webpage backgrounds. Today I discovered these awesome backgrounds from DinPattern.

I’ve been sitting here for a few hours surfing page after page of Wordpress themes and haven’t been able to find one that I like well enough to use. So I went to google and did a search on how to edit wordpress themes and I found this neat tutorial from Essential Key Strokes. I’m thinking maybe I’ll just edit the basic template with a nice background and see if I can figure out how to put a banner image at the top instead of the color gradient. I do like the basic theme for it’s simplicity, but it alone is a little too plain for me. I’m gonna play around and see what I can come up with.

I just bought this DVD yesterday. Late last night I sat down and watched it. It was the best two hours I’ve spent on the couch in a long time. I’ve never been a hardcore fan of Beyonce Knowles. Sure I’ve heard her singing with Destiny’s Child and even love to dance to their music occasionally. And yes I’ve heard Beyonce’s solo stuff as well and always like hearing most of her songs. I always thought Beyonce had a beautiful voice and there is no doubt about that, but still I never got crazy over her singing until I sat down and watched this concert dvd. After watching this I now have respect for Beyonce as a singer and an artist. I think I can now call myself an official Beyonce Knowles fan. Let me just say this…… this girl can really sing. I loved watching and hearing her sing on the stage in Los Angeles, CA where this was video was recorded while sitting on my couch more than I ever loved hearing her on the radio or in the clubs where I used to dance. At the beginning of the concert Beyonce asks her audience “Are you ready to be entertained?” and for two hours she does just that and more. Folks, if you like any of Beyonce’s music and you have not seen this concert dvd then I highly recommend you go out and buy it. Bring it home, turn off your cellphone, dim the lights, lock the front door and enjoy a wonderful concert experience.
