How I Spent My 38th Birthday

Loading ...Some may find this boring as hell. Some may say that I have absolutely no life at all. Yesterday was my 38th birthday and I celebrated it by staying at home watching television and working on my craft projects. I have been doing a lot of yarn stash busting so I knitted scarfs all day. I had thought about going out to do some shopping, but then I couldn’t think of anything I needed so I just turned on the tv and sat in my living room knitting. I played my video games as well. I’m still very much into Puzzle Quest so I spent a couple of hours playing that game. All in all my birthday was alright but I’m feeling kinda cheated though because I didn’t go out and buy myself anything. I always buy myself something for my birthday. It has been a tradition for me since my very first job in 1988 to buy myself something for my birthday, so I may have to go on a little shopping trip today. Maybe I’ll go to Gamestop and see if there are any cool used games on the rack. Or maybe I’ll just stay at home again today and knit some more. Who knows?

When I got my first job, I was so used to not having or spending money that I just put all my paychecks in a small box on my shelf. The company had to call me to ask me to please cash them. I’m glad (and sad) to say I now spend money just fine. Happy belated birthday.
