Harder Better Faster Stronger
I want to get leaner. I want to get stronger. I’m sick of being that kid on the beach who gets sand kicked in his face.
Today on May 10th, 2008 I make a resolution to start walking and jogging more. I’ll start using my Tony Little Gazelle more often. I’ll buy a weight bench and start lifting weights. I want to be a hot daddy… not an old slumpy bent out of shape old man. Fuck this! I will be harder better faster stronger.
05/13/08 - After I had my four mile walk today I was feeling kinda excited about it and felt like I wanted to so something a little extra to burn off some more calories. So I got my gazelle glider out, put in a movie I rented from Netflix and spent 61:01 minutes exercising on the gazelle while watching Hugh Jackman in The Fountain. The workout was pretty intense, but the movie sucked. According to the counter on the gazelle I burned 475 calories and walked/glided 3.91 miles for a total of 8.25 miles exercised today. I don’t know how accurate the counter is on the gazelle. I really don’t trust that it counts an accurate measure, but I could be wrong. At any rate, I exercised my ass off today.
05/13/08 - Went walking on Andrews Road. 4.34 miles and 10,614 steps counted. I have broken my walking record for this summer. My legs feel like jello, but I am having fun getting back up to walking like I did last summer. I can’t wait to lose some more weight so I can take my shirt off and enjoy the sunshine when I’m out walking. I just thought of another reason why I need to find a new pedometer…. I need one that has a stop watch on it so I can time myself when I go out walking.
05/12/08 - Went walking at West Ridge Park. Walked 3.18 miles with 7,788 steps counted on the pedometer. Legs were hurting from jogging two days ago but nothing too serious. No pain, no gain right!? Pedometer needs a new battery, or I need to buy a new pedometer… whichever is cheaper.
05/10/08 - Walked / jogged 3.18 miles. First time I went jogging in a long time. I had fun.
